APS, Academic session is divided into two terms. There will be two-unit tests in each term. The time table for each unit tests will be given in advance. Parents are requested to kindly note down these dates.
The grades reflected in the report card at the end of each term will be based on the unit tests and would also include the pupil’s performance in class-work, home-work, project work and internal assessments on spelling writing skill, reading, recitation mental maths and computer practicals spread over the term. Report cards will be issued only twice in a year after first and final term. Promotion to the next class ins earned based on their continuous performance in academics.
The school is enriched with many co-curricular and sports activities which develop the child’s all-round development.
A few co-curricular and sports activities conducted by the school are classical and folk music, folk dance, Plays, National and social festival, fancy dress, special assemblies, productive workshops, planting trees, science and maths ambitions, inter house quiz competitions, sports and games( kho-kho, badminton, volleyball, basketball) indoor games ( chess, Ludo, carrom board, table tennis etc) pyramid making, parade etc.
Somewhere in the educational scheme, there must be encouragement for the dream and imagination of the youth. Therefore, our staff to extract the best from a student, through a creative and innovative approach. Few creative activities performed are public speaking, storytelling, poem recitation, calligraphy, drawing / sketching, painting, art and craft, rangoli, mehndi designing, greeting card, poster making, puppet making etc.
The school ensures a healthy surrounding with clean washroom, safe and purified water coolers, neat and well-ventilated classrooms and labs. The school is well equipped with labs; computer lab, science lab, maths lab, music lab, sports room, library. We have medical rooms well equipped with the first aid facilities which a student can avail in case of any medical emergency. We provide transport facilities for students, covering main areas of the city. We also conduct picnics, farewells and excersions annually for all classes which helps students to explore more and increase their intellectuality.
In order to promote sports, games and curricular activities, the students of the school are divided into four houses named Shivaji, Subhash, Rana Pratap, Aurobindo. Each house is guided by teachers. The houses have their separate uniforms and house flags. Different inter-house competition is held though out the year. We facilitate the winner with school medals and certificates.
